Calories, carbs or quality? What matters most for body weight

On Friday, January 31, 2020, the CRCHUM Conferences will host Dr Kevin Hall, chief of the integrative physiology section in the national institute of diabetes and digestive and kidney diseases.

Abstract

Body weight management is often discussed in terms of balancing calorie intake with expenditure, but the composition and quality of the diet may play an important role in calorie balance. In this presentation, I will discuss several common myths about diet and weight management. I will also present results from controlled human feeding studies that help separate fact from fiction regarding diets and body weight regulation.
