The leadership of Université de Montréal’s affiliated hospital research center (the CRCHUM) is pleased to announce the appointment of Isabelle Lacroix, PhD, as Associate Director of Innovation and Commercialization for the CRCHUM and CHUM, effective September 14, 2026. 

Holding a PhD in Biology, Dr. Lacroix brings more than 15 years of experience in research strategy and development, funding for large-scale projects, technology transfer, and partnership development. 

Throughout her career, she has held leadership and strategic advisory roles at the Université de Montréal and Mila. She also managed a pan-Canadian research network at McGill University, where she developed strong expertise in knowledge mobilization, partnership development, and support for large-scale research initiatives. 

In her new role, Dr. Lacroix will be responsible for structuring, supporting, and accelerating innovation activities across the CRCHUM and CHUM, while ensuring their strategic alignment, effective implementation, and tangible impact. 

She will also contribute to the technology transfer of innovations emerging from research and clinical settings, as well as to the development of academic, industry, and institutional partnerships.
