The executive team of the CHUM Research Centre (CRCHUM) is pleased to announce that Dr. Cynthia Ménard has been appointed Associate Scientific Director, Academic Development, at the CRCHUM, effective June 2026.

Dr. Ménard is a regular researcher at the CRCHUM in both the Imaging and Engineering and the Cancer research themes. She is also Head of the Department of Radiation Oncology at the CHUM and a full professor in the Department of Radiology, Radiation Oncology and Nuclear Medicine at Université de Montréal's Faculty of Medicine.

Her research focuses on improving the individualization of radiation therapy through the development, validation and clinical application of technological advances in imaging, with a particular focus on improving radiation therapy for patients with prostate cancer.

Dr. Ménard succeeds Alain Rivard in the role. His leadership, rigour and dedication significantly contributed to the academic development and influence of the CRCHUM.
