Research Interests

  • Research on understanding the mechanisms involved in the etiopathology of osteoarthritis in humans, and from transgenic animal models.  Study of biomarkers on longitudinal and clinical research cohorts in relation to osteoarthritis either in serum or on the structure of the knee by magnetic resonance imaging.
  • Epidemiological study to predict the progression of osteoarthritis using statistical models as well as artificial intelligence systems.  
  • Development of innovative quantitative and automatic systems using magnetic resonance images, allowing the quantification of joint structures (tissues), their changes over time and the prediction of progression using artificial intelligence.
