Biosafety Level 3 (BSL3)

The CRCHUM’s biosafety level 3 (BSL-3) core facility offers the following services:  

 

• Training for the safe use of facilities and equipment.  
  
  
  
  Only duly trained individuals are allowed access to the core facility. The core manager ensures the application of BSL-3 rules and operating procedures.

• Biosafety Level 3 Cell Sorting  
  
  
  
  A FACSAria Fusion cytofluorometer built into a biological safety cabinet makes it possible to perform high-speed cell sorting on cells infected by risk group 3 pathogens.
