Job description

Dr Stagg’s laboratory is focused at identifying novel therapeutic targets for cancer immunotherapy and studying the tumor microenvironment’s adaptation to immune checkpoint inhibitors. The Stagg lab uses state-of-the-art technologies including genetically engineered cancer models, antibody display, high-multiplex imaging, flow cytometry, RNA seqencing and HD spatial transcriptomics.

The lab is known for having identified the adenosine-producing enzyme CD73 as a novel target in immuno-oncology and for contributing to the development of several therapeutic agents now in Phase 2 or 3 clinical trials.

The specific role of the candidate will be to perform computational analyses of RNAseq, multiplex imaging and Visium spatial transcriptomics datasets to define adaptation of the tumor microenvironment of specific cancer types in response to immune checkpoint theray. The candidate will be integrated in our international network of collaborators in world-leading cancer centers.

Responsibilities

This person will be responsible to:

  • Perform bioinformatics analyses of Visium Spatial Transcriptomic data.
  • Perform bioinformatics analyses of bulk and single-cell RNAseq data
  • Perform bioinformatics analyses of multiplex immunofluorescence imaging data.
  • Coordonate with other bioinformaticians in the network
  • Use multi-omics representation to integrate imaging and sequencing data of tumors.
  • Co-supervise PhD level students to help them with their analyses in different projects.

Qualifications

  • A Ph.D. in bioinformatics, computational biology, or in a related field with expertise in cancer research.
  • Proficiency in R or python and command-line programming languages.
