The cellular imaging core makes its expertise available to research teams and ensures that they have easy and efficient access to state-of-the-art optical microscopy and image analysis instruments.

We also offer the following specialized services:

- Use of microscopes on a self-serve or with-service basis.
  
  N.B.: certain microscopes or microscope modules are available only on a with-service basis
- Comprehensive project execution for users
- Development of techniques on some of our instruments

- Use of open-source image analysis software:: FIJI, ImageJ, Cell Profiler, etc.
- Use of dedicated software: Imaris Full Spectrum, latest version with deconvolution module
- Extraction of quantitative information from digital images
- Consultations for assistance with image analysis
- Analyses carried out by core facility staff
- Methodology development: new imaging, sample preparation and image analysis techniques
- Technical assistance technique for sample preparation, selection of the appropriate imaging technique, image acquisition and image analysis
- Support with publishing images and writing the materials and methodology sections of scientific articles, whether using the core’s optical microscopy or not
- Support for figure layouts for articles or for poster or oral presentations
- Lecture-based microscopy training (see Toolkit)
- Training in sample preparation
- Practical training for using instruments on a self-serve basis
- Image analysis training: Visiomorph, Imaris, FIJI/ImageJ, Cell Profiler
- Training (upon request) for microscopes located outside the core facility
