Our laboratory focuses on understanding ovarian cancer biology and developing new strategies for biomarker discovery. Our current research is organized around three complementary areas:

1. Defining the role of MEST in ovarian cancer progression, with particular emphasis on tumour-cell plasticity, metastatic phenotypes, and therapeutic resistance.

2. Developing minimally invasive biomarkers for the early detection of high-grade serous ovarian cancer, using proteomic and extracellular vesicle-based approaches in patient biofluids.

3. Identifying biomarkers of mucinous ovarian cancer, an understudied ovarian cancer subtype for which improved diagnostic and molecular classification strategies are urgently needed.
