The patient who needs immediate assistance should not communicate directly with the researcher. Instead, they should call the doctor’s office or take other appropriate measures, such as going to the nearest emergency service.

My research program focuses on physical activity and mental health, in two specific populations: 1) adolescents and youth transitioning into adulthood, and 2) people diagnosed with cancer. My research program is based on three axes:
Axis 1: Distinguish physical activity modalities (e.g. social context, sports group and team, sports profiles) and examine their effect on i) the adoption and maintenance of an active lifestyle; ii) mental health; mental disorders and health-related quality of life;
Axis 2: Identify the psychosocial mechanisms (e.g. social support, sense of belonging, social networks) involved in the relationship between physical activity and i) the adoption and maintenance of an active lifestyle ii) mental health, mental disorders and health-related quality of life;
Axis 3: Evaluate the feasibility, effectiveness and describe the barriers and facilitators for implementing physical activity interventions to promote mental health and health-related quality of life and prevent mental disorders in specific contexts (e.g. hospital - oncology, school, university, community and urban environments).
I have a particular interest in the development and evaluation of multimodal prehabilitation interventions involving physical activity, nutrition and psychosocial support among people diagnosed with cancer.
