Biobanks

The core facility can accommodate as many as 30 freezers and ultra-low freezers, for a capacity of one million tubes. Shelves are also available to maintain 70,000 paraffin blocks at room temperature. 

• Twelve -80 °C freezers, two of which is for emergencies 
• Three -20 °C freezers, two of which is for emergencies (one upright and one chest) 
• 15 spots ready to accommodate new -80 °C or -20 °C freezers 
• Many wall shelves available for the storage of boxes of paraffin blocks or slides
