Dr. Anne-Marie Mes-Masson, a principal scientist of the cancer axis, is the recipient of the 2019 Canadian Cancer Research Alliance (CCRA) Award for Exceptional Leadership in Cancer Research

The CCRA biennial awards recognize individuals who have made a remarkable impact on cancer research and the cancer research community.

Dr. Anne-Marie Mes-Masson will receive this award for her outstanding leadership not only in her own research in the areas of ovarian, prostate and breast cancer but for her pioneering efforts to create and promulgate model systems based on patient-derived materials and her commitment to establishing infrastructure and quality standards for biorepositories that are foundational for enabling innovative translational research in Canada and internationally.

The awards will be presented at the 5th Canadian Cancer Research Conference (CCRC) on Monday, November 4, 2019, at the Shaw Centre in Ottawa.
