José Côté, a Health innovation and evaluation hub researcher, receives the 2023 Nursing Research Excellence Award from the Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing (CASN).

For CASN, recognizing individual achievements in research is an important means of highlighting the contributions made to the growth of nursing as a scientific discipline.

José Côté, Professor of Nursing at the Université de Montréal, has held the Research Chair in Innovative Nursing Practices since 2005, and has been co-director of the Réseau québécois de recherche sur les interventions en sciences infirmières since 2020.

A pioneer in the field of e-health nursing practices, she developed the TAVIE (Traitement Assistance Virtuelle Infirmière et Enseignement) concept to support people in managing their chronic health conditions.

Her work has been recognized by organizations such as the Women’s Y Foundation, the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec and the Secrétariat à la condition féminine du Québec.

Awarded annually at CASN’s fall board meeting, this recognition prize will be officially presented to José Côté on November 13 in Ottawa.
